Alberto Toscano’s new book »Late Fascism. Race, Capitalism and the Politics of Crisis« has been discussed as one of the most important contributions to the current debate on fascism in the English-speaking world and beyond. In his analysis, the Canadian-based Italian theorist departs from a one-dimensional and historicizing analysis of the term. Instead, he understands the process of fascization as a phenomenon that must be read from many different perspectives. On Tuesday, June 24, he will talk about anti-colonial and black radical theory, contemporary fascisms and possible counter-strategies with the abolitionist and scholar Vanessa E. Thompson.
